Rare crackle glaze bottle vase. Interesting crackleure (cracks within cracks) to the glaze. The lip is unglazed, leaving the possibility that it has been ground and polished and that the bottle may have been taller originally. However there are no faults to the neck of the bottle so this is only conjecture. The rim of the base is unglazed but the base itself is fully glazed, again displaying crackleure.
I would describe the colour as a very light grey - photograph colours are slightly deceptive as the vase appears to take on the surrounding colours ie greens.
Was part of an old English collection.
Height 25 cm, Diameter 18 cm, top opening 5 cm.
