Unique Chinese famille verte pot, believed to be Kangxi Formed part of a private collection for many years. There are 2 panels decorated with flowers and insects, well painted in bright famille verte enamels, including blue. The gilded handles are very unusual and may be a later addition, leaving 2 small areas of restoration where they meet the top of the pot. There is a small chip to the base and an almost invisible hair line crack also on the base.
Height 9 cm, diameter of top opening 6 cm. Greatest diameter across 14 cm.
