No 3013 Lengguai (betel nut) container from Brunei
Originally thought to be an incense burner, this Lengguai container originates from Brunei. These containers were popular heirlooms for Malay people in Brunei Borneo - important wealth currency during the 1800s. The Lengguai are used both for storing jewellery or for serving betel nuts and sireh. Lovely colouring. Well used - small holes in base but still able to use.
