Chinese 19th Century apple green double gourd vase. The entire vase- interior, exterior and base - were initially covered in a pale crackle ge-ware glaze. The vase would have then been placed in a muffle kiln after the green glaze was placed on top of the straw glaze on the exterior - leaving the interior and base straw-glazed. A dark brown rim was then added to stop fritting. Chamfered foot with glazerun over base. Condition: 2 small firing flaws but otherwise good.
