Superb large Chinese porcelain vase. Finely decorated in famille rose with 5 figures in a country scene, one riding a water buffalo. Poetic couplet describing the scene on reverse. Painting is excellent - faces particularly full of character. Yongzheng mark on base - but probably dates from late Republic period circa 1948. In good condition - 2 very faint hairlines although the vase still rings clearly when struck. Firing crack inside base.
