No 2509 Chinese porcelain bottle vase - Republic period
Superb Chinese porcelain bottle vase dating from the Republic period. Exceptional hand painting – would have required a Master painter to produce at this level and in such detail. Qianlong mark hand painted on base – but later. Three Chinese characters with two red seal marks near the collar are likely to be a poetic couplet linked to the painting, which shows seven little boys playing ‘blind mans buff’ in a garden with two adult onlookers. Condition excellent.
