Chinese altar table dating from the 19th century. Good solid piece of furniture made in the traditional Chinese way. Believe the main part of the table is made from elm - drawers and back are likely to be a different wood. There are two opening drawers with brass fitments. The second level is decoration only. However, the two drawers can be removed, providing a hidden internal space.
Condition: good. No obvious repairs - just wear commensurate with age.
