No 2304 Japanese Imari Chawan - circa 1700
Japanese Imari chawan dating from the Genroku era,1688-1704. Both sections decorated in overglaze enamels of red, black, green and gold with the 3 friends of winter ie pine, prunus and bamboo.
Condition good. Slight fritting on each base and a very small chip from the base of the lid.
Size: larger base bowl - diameter 11.5 cm, depth 6.5 cm. Smaller top bowl diameter 10 cm, depth 3 cm
